One Room Challenge, Sneak Peek!

Sorry I’m such a tease!

I was expecting two more items to be delivered this week, but turns out they won’t be here until NEXT week. Silver lining: We DO have an extra week with One Room Challenge (due to the week skipped to shed light on #BLM matters). I also have to remind myself I joined the challenge late—so I’ll have to take advantage of this extra week. Many apologies for those who were looking forward to a reveal this week.

I should have known I would go over the 8-week deadline, since I am usually the one to tell my clients to estimate a 12-week minimum process! SO thankful for this extra week right now.

Also, being someone who respects and upholds this craft, I want you to see exactly how I envisioned it, no details left out! Investing in photography (styling, flowers, photographing, time) makes you want everything to be perfect to make the investment worthwhile.

However, I won’t leave you hanging!

This week, I finally received my Ikea delivery (Monday) and my West Elm Dining table (Tuesday). On Monday, my handyman, I mean father, came over to my place to hang the artwork and sconces, while I worked on putting together my desks & styling.

When I was little, my father and I used to work together like this around the house, for Christmas decorations, and when he fixed cars, A LOT. I used to direct my father for Christmas lights, letting him know how to execute the masterpiece I had in mind, his little assistant. He was the first to let me fully express myself, and I am fully grateful for that! One of the best fathers! Shoutout to all the fathers nurturing strong, independent women out there! <3

So, I’ve got all of my artwork up, but I am missing a key shelf & a beautiful plant stand. The show must come to a pause until I can get these in my space. But, for the next few days I’ll be creating a shot list, borrowing accessories from other spaces in my home to style it, and buying flowers/branches to complete the look. Wish me luck and I’ll see you on the other side!
